The Embassy of Switzerland in Côte d'Ivoire made donations worth more than 4 million CFA francs to the Children Of Africa Foundation's reception center, La Case des Enfants, on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in Plateau.
These donations are mainly made up of musical instruments including electric guitars, dry guitars, hand drums and many other instruments. These donations are part of a program of initiation to music that the managers of the center want to put in place for the children. These gifts were officially handed over by H.E.M Anne Lugon Moulin, Ambassador of Switzerland in Côte d'Ivoire to Mrs. Beatrice Durand, in charge of social affairs at the Children Of Africa Foundation and the Children's Home in the presence of the center's staff.
Mrs. Béatrice Durand wished the traditional "akwaba" to her guests of the day. She took the opportunity to present the shelter to her guests. After the welcome speech, the little boarders of the shelter showed their talent through two (02) songs in Malinké and Ashanti to welcome the guests.
Taking the floor, H.E. Mrs. Anne Lugon Moulin, Ambassador of Switzerland in Côte d'Ivoire thanked Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, President of the Children Of Africa Foundation. She encouraged the children to study hard and to believe in themselves.
