DOMINIQUE OUATTARA HIGH SCHOOL IN KONG

One of the first major actions of the Children Of Africa Foundation in the field of education is undoubtedly the construction of the Dominique Ouattara Municipal College for the young girls of Kong.

It was in February 2000 that the Children Of Africa Foundation officially handed over the keys of the Dominique Ouattara Municipal College to the city of Kong. Initially created to give priority to young girls from the northern region of Côte d'Ivoire, where the weight of traditions and the distance from secondary schools force them to stop studying at the end of the primary cycle, the municipal college Dominique Ouattara of the young girls of Kong will finally become a mixed establishment by becoming the Dominique Ouattara College of Kong.
In 2012, the establishment will be completely renovated and will see its reception capacity reinforced. It then became the Lycée Dominique Ouattara in Kong.

THE CHILDREN'S BOX

The idea of creating the Children's Cabin dates back to September 1994. A group of friends, anxious to give children living in the streets a chance, decided to open a center to help them. It was a question of making their modest contribution in the improvement of the sight of children within the framework of the ophthalmological caravan, or furthermore, to protect the latter against endemic pathologies such as typhoid fever and meningitis. During the various health caravans run by the Foundation, thousands of children are systematically dewormed against intestinal worms of all kinds.
