The Children of Africa Foundation's mobile library at the 11th Edition of the International Book Fair of ABIDJAN (sila)

The 11th edition of the Abidjan International Book Fair (SILA) takes place from Wednesday, May 15 to Sunday, May 19, 2019, at the Palais de la Culture in Abidjan.  Like previous years, the Bookmobile of the Children Of Africa Foundation takes part in this book fair. But for this edition of SILA, children and young readers who storm the Palace of Culture have discovered the brand new double-decker bus of the Foundation of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara. Equipped with more than 3,000 books of various genres, this bus like others is specially equipped to discover the joys of reading to young children.

Thus, in the morning of Thursday, May 16, 2019, the mobile library opened its doors to students of the Lycée moderne d'Angré as part of its activity: "the guest of the mobile library.  For this section, Ms. Cissé Aïssatou, responsible for Education at the Children Of Africa Foundation received the author Attita Hino, in civil status Ms. Angèle Mathurine Hino.  For nearly two hours, the writer spoke with the students. Author of five (05) books namely the Great Mask lied; the Night of the heart; the Banished of the Great Mask; Told Wisdom volume 1 and Told Wisdom volume 2, Ms. Hino presented her works to her young visitors hanging on her lips.  Trained as an accountant, Ms. Hino said she came to literature out of passion. Also, she invited the children to have the love of literature to cultivate themselves.

Mrs. Cissé Aïssatou, responsible for Education at the Children Of Africa Foundation, told the children about the opportunity that the Bookmobile offers them. Indeed, she maintained that the library bus offers children the opportunity to discover books and meet writers.

Note that Attita Hino is from Grand Béréby. Author, his first work published in 2014 "The Great Mask lied" won the National Prize of the Young Writer 2014, awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Francophonie of Côte d'Ivoire, the special mention 2014 at the Ivory Coast Prize for African literature of French expression and ranked 3th in the discipline of literature at the Prize for Excellence 215 of the President of the Republic.
