Medically Assisted Reproduction: Mrs. Dominique Ouattara visits the new Procrea clinic

Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, President of the Children Of Africa Foundation, visited the new Procrea Clinic, located at the Riviera M'Pouto, on Wednesday April 12, 2023.

First inaugurated on December 1, 2008, the Procrea Clinic was initially located at the Riviera Palmeraie. The new building which combines aesthetics with performance, responds to the medical project of Dr. Miriam Kadio Morokro to position the Procrea Clinic as a leader in Côte d'Ivoire in the field of Medically Assisted Procreation (MAP).

Mrs. Dominique Ouattara's visit follows the audience she granted to Dr. Miriam Kadio Morokro, Founder and General Director of the Procrea Clinic, on Wednesday, February 15. Indeed, during this meeting, Dr. Kadio Morokro invited Mrs. Dominique Ouattara to visit the new premises of her health facility located at the Riviera M'Pouto.

It was around 11:30 am that the motorcade of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, President of the Children Of Africa Foundation, stopped at the entrance of the new Procrea Clinic.  At the entrance of the clinic, the medical team headed by Dr. Myriam Kadio Morokro was present to welcome the wife of the Head of State. After the greetings, the focus shifted to the waiting room for discussions with Mrs. Myriam Kadio Morokro, staff members and family members of the founder of the Procrea Clinic. For Dr. Myriam Kadio Morokro, she decided to become an entrepreneursh because she has been inspired by the leadership of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara. That is why she was keen to congratulate the wife of the Head of State for having been a source of inspiration for her. "By observing you over the years, I have been inspired by your leadership attributes of finding ways to encourage women, to combine their efforts, their talents, their ideas, their enthusiasm and their inspiration," explained Mrs. Morokro. Before presenting her health facility. The Procrea Clinic, according to Dr. Morokro is built on an area of 7,200 m2 with an underground parking lot for 40 cars. The overall value of the hospital is estimated at 9 billion CFA francs with 66% Ivorian capital. According to Dr. Morokro, the medical project is centered on Medical Assistance for Procreation. It is composed of three (3) poles, namely a gyneco-obstetrics pole with maternity ward, with birth rooms, 2 ISO 7 operating theatres equipped with a laparoscopic surgery service and latest generation ultrasound. A pediatrics and neonatology center with the latest generation equipment and finally a general medicine center with outpatient consultations and emergency services. The clinic employs a technical staff of 100 people, 64% of whom are women.

The guided tour of the health facility was led by Mrs. Cindy Moukarzel, architect and project manager at the Guillaume Koffi & Diabaté firm. Mrs. Dominique Ouattara visited successively the service hall, the ambulatory area, a psychological consultation room, a gynecological consultation room, the emergency hall, the maternity ward, a birth room, the operating room area, the MPA lab, the MPA administration, the hospitalization rooms and finally the administration offices. After this visit Mrs. Dominique Ouattara took the opportunity to congratulate Dr. Morokro for the construction of this clinic which combines beauty with performance and whose objective is to bring hope to infertile couples. "What is beautiful in your business is that you give hope to people," said Ms. Dominique Ouattara. The President of the Children Of Africa Foundation also congratulated the Guillaume Koffi and Diabaté architectural firm for their work. Mrs. Dominique Ouattara also congratulated Dr. Morokro for the latest generation of technical equipment that the clinic has acquired to be more efficient.

To show her gratitude to Mrs. Dominique Ouattara for her leadership, Dr. Myriam Kadio Morokro and the staff of the clinic decided to name the meeting room of the hospital  after the President of the Children Of Africa Foundation. They also offered a gift to the wife of the Head of State. Finally, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara offered two (2) million F CFA to the clinic staff.

Mrs. Dominique Ouattara and her delegation visited the hospital services such as  gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics, neonatology, general medicine, emergencies, analysis laboratories, surgical specialties and resuscitation. During this visit, the wife of the Head of State offered gifts to the children and to the new mums.
