A Bibliobus at the 8th SILA edition

A Bookmobile of the Children Of Africa Foundation remained stationed at the Palace of Culture in Treichville, from Thursday 26 to Saturday 28 May 2016, as part of the 8th edition of the International Book Fair of Abidjan (SILA).

The students who came to visit the stands of SILA, were able to familiarize themselves with the Children Of Afric mobile library. This mobile library is equipped with 3,600 books and 2 computers with internet connection.

Thus, during 03 days, hundreds of children stormed the Children Of Africa mobile library daily.

In addition to the books, the students were able to do research thanks to the 02 computers connected to the Internet of the Bookmobile.

In addition, several writers shared their passion for reading with the young visitors. To this end, Macaire Etty, the new President of the Association of Writers of Côte d'Ivoire was keen to support the Children Of Africa project. "The Association of Writers of Côte d'Ivoire, through my pen supports this immense work in favor of a nation of reading. Bravo!!! ", he wrote.

Writer and teacher by profession, Miessan Ankon Justin thanked the Children of Africa Foundation "for understanding that the book is the ship that leads us from the shore of ignorance to that of knowledge. The author of the book "The Divorce of God" encouraged "children to embark on it for the glorious," he said.

Also present at the closing of the show, Diomandé Mélama, the author of "A Book in the car " was keen to express his joy, and address his congratulations to the Foundation of Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, following his visit in the mobile library and his exchanges with the students present.
