On Friday, December 19, 2025, the Children of Africa School of Excellence in Abobo was buzzing with the magic of Christmas. In a warm and festive atmosphere, marked by beaming smiles and lively emotion, nearly 1,000 gifts were given to students thanks to the generosity of the First Lady of Côte d'Ivoire, Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, Founding President of the Children of Africa Foundation.

Present on behalf of the First Lady, Mrs. Aissatou Cissé, Head of Education at the Children of Africa Foundation, recalled the symbolic and human significance of this celebration. “Christmas does not need grand speeches. Christmas is a time for celebration, sharing, happiness, and joy,” she emphasized to the visibly delighted children. She highlighted Mrs. Dominique Ouattara's constant commitment to the students of the school group, following on from the grand celebration organized the day before at the Presidency of the Republic for 3,000 children.

Ms. Cissé also encouraged the students to persevere in their academic efforts, reminding them that their dedication and good results are a source of pride for the Foundation. She praised the commitment of the teachers, educational staff, and library managers, before congratulating young Ajahi Djamila Olamide, who came second in the final reading aloud competition.

The highlight of the ceremony was the speech by the school group president, Ajahi Djamila Olamide, which had triggered great emotion. On behalf of all the students, she expressed her deep gratitude to the First Lady for organizing the Christmas party and for her constant attention to the children. She wished her health, longevity, and prosperity, while hoping that the Foundation would continue to bring joy and hope to the children and their families.

The celebration was enlivened by an educational skit performed by the students, focusing on raising awareness about cleanliness and environmental protection, which was greatly appreciated by the audience. The highlight of the celebration came with the long-awaited arrival of Santa Claus, who distributed 700 gifts to the students of the Children of Africa School of Excellence in Abobo, to loud applause from parents, teachers, and partners.

As if to crown this memorable day, a light rain, like a blessing, accompanied this beautiful ceremony, symbolizing the First Lady's ongoing commitment to the education, development, and well-being of the children of Côte d'Ivoire.
