{"id":1558,"date":"2021-10-08T12:10:14","date_gmt":"2021-10-08T12:10:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/childrenofafrica.org\/?p=1558"},"modified":"2021-10-19T12:13:37","modified_gmt":"2021-10-19T12:13:37","slug":"free-distribution-of-1400-school-kits-to-schoolchildren-in-the-localities-of-bahuama-tounzuebo-ferkessedougou-and-kong","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/childrenofafrica.org\/en\/free-distribution-of-1400-school-kits-to-schoolchildren-in-the-localities-of-bahuama-tounzuebo-ferkessedougou-and-kong\/","title":{"rendered":"Free distribution of 1,400 school kits to schoolchildren in the localities of BAHUAMA, TOUNZUEBO, FERKESSEDOUGOU and KONG"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After the city of Adiak\u00e9 where the school kits distribution campaign was launched on September 28, the team of the Children Of Africa Foundation visited from October 1 to 8, 2021 four (04) localities of the country, namely Bahuama, in the department of Jacqueville, the village of Tounzuebo, in the autonomous district of Yamoussoukro, Sokoro, in the department of Ferkess\u00e9dougou and Kong, in the Tchologo region.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the village of Bahuama and surrounding villages in the department of Jacqueville Specifically, the Children Of Africa Foundation team offered 300 school kits, cleaning equipment, soccer balls and toys to schoolchildren. In Tounzuebo, a village located 25 km from Yamoussoukro, the Children Of Africa Foundation also offered 300 school kits to schoolchildren, as well as foodstuffs, cleaning equipment, footballs and sets of jerseys and finally 40 small chairs to the kindergarten. \u00a0In Ferkess\u00e9dougou, the team went to Sokoro, a village located 6 km from the town of Ferkess\u00e9dougou, where 300 school kits were distributed to schoolchildren.<\/p>\n<p>When the team arrived\u00a0 to Kong they visited various schools and offered 500 school kits to schoolchildren. Foodstuff was also offered to women as well as equipment and cleaning products to schools. In addition, the Children Of Africa Foundation offered sets of jerseys to the children.<\/p>\n<p>In total, 1,400 school kits were graciously offered to schoolchildren in these different localities, as well as food for the canteens, maintenance materials, toys.<\/p>\n<p>After a whole week crisscrossing the countryside, Mrs. Ciss\u00e9 A\u00efssatou, Head of Education at the Children Of Africa Foundation and representing Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, took stock of this solidarity tour initiated by First Lady Dominique Ouattara.<\/p>\n<p>The communities and officials of the cities that were visited took this opportunity to thank the First Lady for her generous actions.<\/p>\n<p>For example, Mr. Soualio Soumahoro, Prefect of the department of Kong after he expressed his thanks to\u00a0 Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, for her works of charity.<\/p>\n<p>Adj\u00e9 Allou Guillaume, central sub-prefect of Ferkess\u00e9dougou, also thanked the First Lady for these gifts that will help parents to start the school year.<\/p>\n<p>This heartfelt gesture was also welcomed by the Honorable Kon\u00e9 Lassina, Member of Parliament for the commune of Ferkess\u00e9dougou.
