{"id":1196,"date":"2020-03-12T18:56:15","date_gmt":"2020-03-12T18:56:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/childrenofafrica.org\/?p=1196"},"modified":"2021-10-12T18:57:38","modified_gmt":"2021-10-12T18:57:38","slug":"food-donations-to-the-canteen-of-the-sissedougou-school-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/childrenofafrica.org\/en\/food-donations-to-the-canteen-of-the-sissedougou-school-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Food donations to the canteen of the Siss\u00e9dougou School Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Children Of Africa Foundation donated food to the canteen of the School Group of Siss\u00e9dougou, a locality located in the Bagou\u00e9 region, on Thursday 12 March 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony which took place within the school witnessed the participation of authorities, elected officials, Directors and people of the locality. the Children Of Africa Foundation was represented by Ms. Ciss\u00e9 A\u00efssatou, Head of Education Department and Ms. Durand B\u00e9atrice, Head of Social Affairs Department.<\/p>\n<p>Built by the Association des Amis et Sympathisants of Siss\u00e9dougou, this canteen will not only allow children living far from the school to eat on site, but also encourage the population to send their children to school.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Ciss\u00e9 A\u00efssatou, Head of Training and Education of the Children Of Africa Foundation welcomed the improvement of the educational system in this locality.\u00a0 She explained the importance of a school canteen in the education of children. \"(...) To study, learn and understand, the child needs to be fulfilled and balanced. The school canteen is essential because it helps to improve the students\u2019 success rate and reduces absenteeism. A child who eats enough at lunch is always regular and school performance is improved,\" explained Ms. Ciss\u00e9.\u00a0 She also stressed that these donations aim not only to support but also to encourage people to send their children to school.\u00a0\u00a0 She ended by encouraging children to work in order to be among the best.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Bla Kouassi S\u00e9raphin, Sub-Prefect of Ganaoni took the opportunity to express his thanks to the Children Of Africa Foundation for these donations.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Koula Jean Head \u00a0of the Modern Highschool of Ganaoni thanked Mrs Dominique Ouattara for her actions to promote education.
