It’s very difficult for children to have access to books in our country because  it is uncommon to locate a library in our public schools and our cities. To address this deficit, Ms Dominique Ouattara, President of the Children Of Africa Foundation has initiated the mobile library project since  2008.

In fact, bibliobus are buses designed for use as a library which travel across the country’s cities with more than 3,000 books to educate, entertain and inform children between 4 and 18 years old.

Bibliobus are also equipped with  2 computers with internet connection to give children the opportunity to learn about information and Communication technology. 100 films are also available in our video library. In view of that, local authorities have decided to sign a convention with the Children of Africa Foundation to enable them to intervene freely in primary and secondary schools. The first Bibliobus entered into service on December 15, 2008.

There are 9 bibliobus travelling across the country’s cities and villages.
